In November of this year, I started a blog about my life and experiences living with Tourette's syndrome. The blog is called "Just a Tic", and has a lighthearted, quirky vibe, while addressing the good and the bad of living with a tic disorder. It explores day to day struggles, societal issues, and top ten lists.
Why I made "Just a Tic"
I developed Tourette's syndrome when I was 20, and feel that a lot of people are curious about it, but don't know how to approach the subject. Creating my blog was making a space to educate and share my experiences and advice, as it touches on topics of what not to say/do, as well as things you wouldn't expect. It reaches a full audience, as I speak to those with the condition as well as those without. Just a Tic has a very lighthearted friendly vibe, so as not to come across as scolding or demanding anyone. It's just to have fun!
